CURRENT PROJECT: TREE HOUSE [WIP]

With this project, I wanted to challenge myself in modeling and sculpting to see if I can take it to the next level. So far, I have done a basic blockout making sure to capture the silhouette and the characteristics of the concept art.
The most challenging part of this project I find are the canopies and bark formations of the tree. The goal is to achieve a seamless translation from the 2D concept art to 3D, while, maintaining the structural integrity of a tree we see in real life.
How I plan to do this is by doing small experiments with different software such as Zbrush, Maya, and Speed Tree to see which one will yield the best result that is the closest to the concept art.
These are sculpted in zbrush and imported into Maya for test renders. They do not have the displacement maps plugged in yet.
